Concens Electric In-line Actuators

The Concens actuator is a patented product of registered design capable of raising, lowering, lifting, pushing and pulling. Through innovation and design, the Concens actuator has been created for use in a wide variety of contexts. The product can be discreetly integrated into a number of environments where competitor products are unable to fit. We know that we have created the actuator of the future, and for this reason, we have, of course, patented and registered the design of the individual innovative parts of the tool. The Concens actuator is stable and reliable. It is the only one on the market designed to be capable of continuous operation.

New Design and New Technology

Electrical actuators in compact and elegant in-line design is a further possibility on the broad actuator market. Concens has developed a range of products comprising the basic actuator types con35 and con50. The numbers are indicating the outside diameter, i.e. 35 mm and 50 mm. The actuators are with loads up to 2200 and 8000 Newton, respectively. The combination of high performance and a very construction friendly in-line design makes it easy to implement the actuators in a row of different industrial and mobile applications. In the broader perspective, the electrical actuators are a strong alternative to hydraulic and pneumatic solutions, because they are stable, powerful and easy to control. An actuator system is far cheaper in purchase and operation than an equivalent hydraulic system. Compared to hydraulic and pneumatic systems the total efficiency is many times higher. This makes the actuator solutions worth considering in a time with increasing demands on environmental and energy issues. 

Low Noise Versions

Late 2005 Concens launched new low noise versions of the popular types con35 and con50. Compared to the standard versions the sound level is reduced significantly. The reduction is approximately 10 dB and according to the first indications it is experienced as half of the sound level spread when the actuator runs with high loads. The secret behind is a patented low noise system, built in between the planetary gear and the remaining construction, reducing the passage of naturally existing vibrations and noise from the planetary gear. The low noise versions are expected to be used in applications where a low noise level is an important parameter, i.e. mobile rehab equipment and mobile auxilliary equipment. 

The clean design where the outside parts are with simple geometries, provides the possibility for stainless steel versions of all our basic type actuators, which is very unique for the market. The outside metal parts are replaced with steel in AISI 304 or 316 (acid proof) dependent on customer needs and requirements. Typical applications are medical industry, food machines and applications for special corrosive environments such as snow moving material and agricultural machines.
