Case Stories: con35 Actuator

Some examples of the variety of applications where Concens actuator con35 has made a difference. Please be inspired!

Wheelchair Platform for Handicap Cars, 2007 - Gustav Bruns GmbH, Germany

Gustav Bruns GmbH in Apen, Germany, is a major manufacturer of handicap cars. Since summer 2006 Concens have delivered actuators for exterior platforms for wheelchair access to various car models, consisting of con50 with overcurrent control circuit.

Actuators for rehabilitation equipment, 2009 - Cyberwalk, Poland

The Polish rehab company Cyberwalk has launched a new improved machine for rehabilitation of leg impaired persons. The con35 is training the legs in a gentle and powerful way. The project is an excellent example of the increasing use of electric inline actuators in new technology.

Automatic Control of Hopper Valve, 2009 - Special Machines Manufacturer, Denmark

A simple, yet very effective actuator solution for automatic control of a hopper valve. The control can be programmed to e.g. dosing parameters and thereby control the flow of e.g. grain, liquids, powder, etc.  As Concens has developed ATEX certified actuators this solution can be used for grain or similar dusty products.

Actuator for Handbrake Operation, 2007 - Autoadapt, Sweden

Autoadapt is specialised in re-building cars into handicap-friendly cars, and is using a con35 for the handbrake function. Special requirements are that the actuator should stand -40◦ and connected to an AMP switch. Before signing the order Autoadapts carried out a EMC test on con 35 which worked excellent.

Actuators for adjustment of wing angle of hangglider, 2008 - Ramphos, USA

Ramphos, a US producer of trikes (small hangglider-like planes with motor), has chosen to use concens actuators in adjusting the wing angle. Probably the very best proof that concens actuators are reliable. Read more about these exciting planes at http://www.ramphosusa.com/

Actuator in Power Boat, 2008 - XSMG World Ltd., United Kingdom

The British producer of powerboats XSMG are using Concens actuators in their brand new XSR48-model. No furthers details, but take a look at the full speed video of the unique powerboat at: http://www.xsmgworld.com/xsr48/index.php?p=xsr_movie&i=xs

Coffin Transport Vehicle, 2009 - Worm, Denmark

The metal and engineering workshop Worm in Denmark has developed a coffin transport vehicle for use by the undertaker. With this vehicle it is possible to transport the coffin as well as adjust the height with actuators so the coffin can be placed on the supports in the church as well as easily pushed into the hearse. The solution means that 1 undertaker can handle the coffin alone instead of previously 2 undertakers – resulting in saving money, manpower, and time with a simple, yet excellent Concens solution.

Actuators in Spreading Machines, 2008 - Gerber Technology, Denmark

Gerber Technology, a division of Gerber Scientific A/S is incorporating Concens actuators in their new spreading machine for the textile industry. This has gained large competitive advantages such as significant cost savings of 25-30% and a more solid and robust machine with a modern and ergonomic design. Read full article "New design provided 25-30% savings on special machine", February 2008

Case Story: Stainless Steel Actuators for Onboard Shrimp Separator, 2008 - Carnitech, Denmark

Stainless steel actuators built into a shrimp separator onboard a trawler. where the shrimp get sorted from the bi-catch. In order to optimize the process of separating shrimp from the by-catch it is important that is horizontal while in use. This is why every separator has several in-line actuators, which can adjust for the movements of the trawler. Case Story: Adjustement of Flexible Packing Line for Food Processor, 2008 - Carnitech, Denmark

Carnitech has focused on developing flexible machines and process lines, which through automatic adjustment can handle various product types, more functions and varying work heights. There is a great demand for this and the customers are willing to pay for the increased flexibility in their production equipment. As actuators give a fast, precise and easy adjustment of machines and process lines, inline actuators are very popular at Carnitech.
A project at Carnitech is a weighing and packing line for the Danish fish factory Crisfisk, which can handle various sizes of bucket packaging on the same line. The entire weighing and packing line is adjusted through a pre-defined computer program, which automatically ensures that the heights of all machines are adjusted correctly, and that the desired shrimp products are packaged correctly. With actuators the operator can use one single program on the computer to change the packaging function from tins to buckets, for example, which saves the company incredible amounts of time and ensures an optimum usage of the production equipment.
